| Camp Mary Orton is a unique place with lots of potential for all kinds of events.
Camp Mary Orton is part of the Godman Guild, a non-profit association started in 1898 that is dedicated to promoting strong families and strong communities. It is a place to experience nature. With its ropes courses, zip line, pool, and a 5,000 square foot lodge, it is a very versatile space.
Two Caterers has done every type of event here. Everything from a DIY/rustic wedding to a glamorous company holiday party for a big downtown law firm. They also host company retreats for team building. And, if you book your event there, you can have access to the other parts of the facility, like the awesome climbing wall!
Imagine hosting your family reunion here, hanging out in front of the cozy fireplace in the lodge, and playing horseshoes and cornhole outside. So much fun!
If you want a more laid-back, casual event, our Sweet Carrot menu is perfect. Our pulled chicken and pork smoked low and slow served with our amazing Grown-Up Mac & Cheese, Corn Pudding, and Green Bean Casserole will please everyone.
In addition, you can feel good about booking this facility as the rental fees go to the Godman Guild and the operational costs of Camp Mary Orton to help supplement summer camp fees for low-income families.
More information is available on their great website here. They also have a fantastic Facebook page with lots of photos.

Upcoming Open House Events: "I DO" at the Ballroom at Oakhurst!
We are pleased to introduce “I DO”
an Artisan Wedding Event to Central Ohio!
Many craft/artisan shows and bridal shows occur annually in the Central Ohio area, but there is no show to connect brides with locally-produced wedding-centric arts and crafts. “I DO” will be that connection with artisans of many disciplines — jewelers, tailors, custom dressmakers, printers, and more.
“I DO” will also focus on vendors with environmentally-friendly practices. Some green-centric vendors joining us: Ecoflora, Virtue Vegan Salon, and Vintage Inspired Rentals.
In addition to the show, we will also be presenting speakers and workshops. For example, Mike Minnix and Rachael Ranney, green event consultants, will be leading a workshop on "Zero-Waste Weddings.” Nate DeMars of Pursuit will be speaking about the challenges a man faces when purchasing a suit and school us on what is new and hip in the world of fashionable males. Bethia Woolf of Columbus Food Adventures will be talking about creative ideas for rehearsal dinners and bachelor/bachelorette parties.
“I DO” will be held on Saturday, March 2nd, 2013 at the Ballroom at Oakhurst. An Open House Champagne Reception will be held from 5pm-7pm. This is a great opportunity for ANYONE interested in seeing the Ballroom at Oakhurst to take a look around. The event is FREE and plenty of convenient, onsite parking is available. A complete listing of vendors is available on the "I Do" website.
